Dazed and Delighted: Inside Planet 13’s Las Vegas Consumption Lounge

Las Vegas has never been one to do things halfway—and Planet 13 is no exception. As the world’s largest dispensary, the complex is already a must-see spectacle for cannabis enthusiasts and curious visitors alike. But tucked within this cannabis superstore is an even more alluring escape: Dazed, Planet 13’s long-awaited consumption lounge, offering something unique to visitors—a stylish, comfortable space to light up and lean back in true Vegas fashion.

On our visit, greeting us was Lowell Brown, Planet 13’s Vice President of Operations. Our adventure began in the most unexpected way: through a phone booth!

If you grew up watching Get Smart or Doctor Who, you’ll instantly appreciate the tongue-in-cheek brilliance of this entrance. Stepping through felt like teleporting into a different world—a kaleidoscope of color, light, and vibes that could only exist in a city like this.

Lowell explained, “We wanted the entry to feel like a portal.” Mission accomplished.

The Lounge Experience

The main lounge area itself is relaxed, stylish, and surprisingly welcoming with cool lighting, eclectic décor, and a cannabis menu curated to suit both seasoned consumers and curious first timers. There’s even a chandelier made of glass bongs!

Options range from infused and non-infused drinks to flower, pre-rolls, and even bong rentals (or purchases, if you’d rather take one home as a souvenir).

Pull up a seat, place an order, and you’re in good hands. Even first-timers will feel at ease here.

The ordering process is smooth and welcoming, never intimidating—a refreshing touch in a city where excess often overshadows comfort.

I visited with my friend, Mike Blogna, one of the country’s top cannabis industry consultants, who opted for a pre-roll. We settled into one of the cozy lounge areas, where smoking is not just allowed, but celebrated.

The Sci-Fi Room: A psychedelic nod to outer space, with flying saucers, neon couches, and surreal murals. Whether you’re stone-cold sober or high as a satellite, it’s impossible not to smile while staring at a flying saucer hovering above your head.

The Optical Oasis (a.k.a. The Eyeball Room): This is the room that former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson likes to visit. As proof, he left his (very large) signature on the coffee table. The champ’s presence lingers in a space that feels equal parts trippy and tongue-in-cheek.

The Golden Mirage Room: Awash in pinks and oranges, this fever-dream desert landscape channels a kind of psychedelic western fantasy. It’s vibrant, dreamy, and tailor-made for group hangs.

Each private lounge is fitted with two or three large screens. The rooms vary in size for different size groups from six to twelve guests, making them ideal for celebrations, or simply soaking up the cool surroundings.
