There is a big, wonderful world of Cannabis Edibles out there, particularly if you live in a state that allows them. I live in California and frequently visit Las Vegas so my choices are many.

Now, there are many different aspects to consider in this universe of edibles. There is THC, the choices of which are Sativa, Indica and Hybrid. There is also CBD and the ratio of CBD to THC, and there is also CBG. Some edibles have a ratio of THC to CBG and there are some that have all three.

THC is Tetrahydrocannabinol, which is the psychoactive part of the cannabis plant. CBD is Cannabidiol and is another cannabinoid found in the plant that has properties frequently associated with anxiety relief and may also be helpful with certain conditions, such as epilepsy. CBG is Cannabigerol, a cannabinoid that is frequently called the “mother” of the cannabinoids, as it is developed early in the plant’s life and many of the cannabinoids are derived from it. Like CBD it is non psychoactive but also has properties that many believe are helpful for a plethora of conditions including lessening anxiety and helping relieve depression, Huntington’s disease, and chronic pain.

Our bodies have an Endocannabinoid System that can benefit from using certain cannabinoids found in cannabis. In my anecdotal research, it seems that some people benefit more than others – but those that benefit can really reap a lot of assistance in their bodies. Other people react poorly.  You need to do some trial and error, and, also, consult a physician.

In the edible world, which is becoming more complicated and interesting daily, the choices are many.

However, there are some that I reach for – like a favorite sweater. I like to experiment, and that way I can find new favorite ones, but, sometimes I just like to go to my own sure bets.

I’ll start with WYLD.  I love that brand. I feel they are consistent, and I generally end up with a good high and a good feeling when I take them. They come as a 10 mg gummy, but I cut them in half, and take 5mg which is usually plenty for me.

The Huckleberry Hybrid is always a good one for me. It’s for all day and just gives a good feeling.  When I want some energy I try the Raspberry Sativa, which is up and helps me have a good attitude.

I very much like the 1:1 edibles, which are generally one part THC to one part CBD. They can help with anxiety relief and give a good feeling. Wyld has a great one, the Pomegranate.

Another 1:1 is their Pear Gummy which is 1:1 THC to CBG.  Love it. I can take that one in the afternoon and it just smooths things over.

I also like their Marionberry Indica, which I take in the early evening if I want to mellow out.

Another of my favorite brands is Cheeba Chews.  I was introduced to them in Las Vegas – and I have a hard time finding them in Los Angeles, so I load up whenever I go to Vegas. Their packaging is a little different in that each one comes in its own little foil container. Sometimes I can take it out and cut it in half, other times I scoop and do my best if I’m not at home.

I really like the Hybrid. It comes in a variety of flavors. I like the Sour Apple, but that flavor has a tendency to melt. You can put it in the fridge for an hour and they harden up. Otherwise go with the Caramel.

The Chocolate Sativa is excellent and they have a good Chocolate Indica too.

One of my favorites of the Cheeba Chews is one I can’t seem to find much anymore, which is the 1:1 THC to CBD. I hope they will make more of those.

They have also come out with a Trifecta which 1:1:1. One part THC to one part CBD to one part CBG. You get 20 pieces, each one 5 mg. of 1:1:1.

(As a side note, I myself have not been using CBN which many people use to help them sleep , we will have a future article that focuses on CBN.)

Another favorite brand is Gron (pronounced groon). They come in a pearl form, which is a round gummy. Again, they are 10 mg and I cut them in half. They have a wonderful one which is a Daytime Sativa Blueberry Lemonade which is 3:1 CBG to THC. It’s just great.

The Gron Peach Proseco which is 1:1 THC to CBD is another favorite. It cuts the anxiety and just lets you enjoy life.

I’m looking forward to trying their Sativa!

One of my new favorites is the HaHa brand Fruit Punch, which is a hybrid 10 mg.  It’s just THC.  Sometimes after I’ve taken a lot of CBD, I feel I need a break from it – and I just love this brand and flavor.

In new experimentation I’ve found the Revive chocolate bar, which is a family owned brand in Southern California. Each bar has 15 servings (each is a square.) The CBD rich is 6.5 CBD :1.7 THC.  It’s just for mellowing out and it’s not too much, just a mellowing.

They also have plain THC, which I now like to take sometimes, which is 6.67 per serving.

Then there is THCV. This is a relatively new find for me. The THC is uplift and the THCV is for concentration. So you can work well on it, or clean your closet. My favorite is Garden Society Kiwi Lime Sauvigon which is 4.7 THC and 3.15 THCV. They were a huge help when I had to do a large spring clean.

I could go on, and there are many really good other brands like Kiva and others. But I will stop with these as they’re currently at the top of my list. That could change and I’ll check in every so often.

Wishing you all mellow and happy days and nights.
